It is with increasing gratitude to God that I submit this testimony. As a result of my father's recovery through Christian Science from critical injuries received in a railroad accident, our family early became interested in this truth, and my brothers and I were enrolled in the Christian Science Sunday School. I bear heartfelt testimony to the incalculable value of its teachings, which enabled me to have a happy childhood, almost entirely free from so-called children's diseases. One early healing was that of earache. This condition was overcome through my clinging to "the scientific statement of being" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 468).

In order to secure a scholarship at a university I had to pass examinations in eight subjects, and through Christian Science help all except that in algebra were creditably passed. The high school principal gave me the opportunity to retake this examination a month after school had closed. I telephoned my Sunday School teacher and told her that I was extremely fearful. She assured me that as an idea of Mind I reflected intelligence and that there was no fear in omnipresent Love. When my mark for the algebra paper came in, it was over 90 per cent.

With the help of the scholarship and the unfoldment of Love's abundant supply I graduated from the university free from debt, when there had appeared to be no funds available for my higher education. Mrs. Eddy's wise provision for Christian Science Organizations in universities and colleges led to rich and fruitful experiences and gave me the opportunity to be an active member at two such organizations.
