My heart overflows with gratitude for the love and comfort that Christian Science has brought into our home. Some years ago, while suffering from a stomach disorder, I was advised by my physician to have X rays taken so he could find the cause of the trouble. At this time a dear friend who was a student of Christian Science asked me to give this Science a trial. I decided to try it and purchased the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. After sitting up for hours reading the first few chapters, I knew that I had found what I had wanted all my life.

Within a very short time I received my healing from reading Science and Health and from the help of my friend. I had the proof of Jesus' statement (John 15:26), "When the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me."

Shortly after this healing, financial reverses were sustained, and my husband was taken very ill. I used what little understanding I had of Christian Science, and God gave me the strength and wisdom to carry on. I had to be nurse, housewife, and mother and was on twenty-four hour duty for several days. Receiving no relief from the physician, my husband turned to Christian Science and received his healing in three days. He has been in excellent health ever since. Also all the financial difficulties were met, and our son obtained a college education, something that before had seemed impossible. In the textbook Mrs. Eddy states (p. 494), "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need."
