THE CHURCH SERVICE
Here
in the holy place that Love designs,
Thou, God, dost tenderly unfold Thy will.
And every word and song with prayer combines
To strengthen faith that Christ is with us still.
The cares that cause the heaviness of mind
Thy thought will lift as Thou art understood.
So freedom comes from fetters that would bind,
And peace and joy reign here, unfolding good.
Thus as we consecrate this hour to Thee,
The blessings of God's grace will come to view,
The love of God appear for us to see,
And heavenly good inspire our lives anew.
