HAVE PATIENCE

God's patience is divine, not human. It has no element of long-suffering or forbearance under provocation. The changeless, tireless perfection of God is expressed in the uninterrupted continuity, the ceaseless harmony, of His creation.

Man, the idea of God, is patient in the sense that he reflects God's changeless presence, power, and perfection. He knows that he is under the divine control of omnipresent Mind and that in Mind's kingdom there is only order, harmony, and perfect operation of divine law. He is naturally obedient to God's will and perceives and understands the allness of good.

From a human standpoint, however, patience denotes calm, persevering expectancy, coupled with faith in God's power and willingness to care for His own. Patience is indispensable in one's journey from sense to Soul. It gives one strength and courage to maintain his stand on the side of Truth even though error's claims seem persistent and protracted. It enables one to be undisturbed by obstacles, failures, and protracted trials and to express love in the face of provocation.
