How grateful I am to be one of the multitude who through Christian Science has found God, the Father-Mother of the universe, including man. A few years ago I knew nothing of God, for I was reared in a home of agnosticism. At that time I had been ill for many months and had gone from doctor to doctor, from hospital to hospital, but only grew worse. I then prayed to God for guidance—to a God I did not even know. The events that followed were evidence that my prayer was heard.

In order to avoid a complete nervous collapse it seemed imperative for me to leave my home in the South and go up North. My husband made the preparations and took me to the airport; but when it was time for me to leave on the plane I became so violently ill that I induced my husband to cancel my flight and take me home.

As we left the air depot he was led to pick out some Christian Science literature from the distribution box there. When we arrived home he made me comfortable and immediately began to read to me from a Sentinel. He was reading the very first article when I sat up and said, "My dear, what you are reading is the truth." I did not know it then, but at that moment my healing took place. My husband read on awhile, and then I continued to read until I had finished two Sentinels. After that I enjoyed my first good sleep in years without medication, and I awoke the next day completely free.
