Christian Science Society, White Rock, held their dedication services on Sunday, June 15, in their church on Pacific and F Streets.

This organization held its first meeting on July 3, 1940, at the home of one of the students for the purpose of forming a Christian Science group.

The Old Masonic Hall was obtained for services on September 1, 1940, and a building fund and lending library were started during that year.

The group was officially recognized as a branch of The Mother Church in Boston, Massachusetts, and became a Christian Science Society in July, 1942. ...

Property on F and Pacific Streets was approved and purchased July 19, 1950, and the first service was held in the unfinished building on October 8.

The total indebtedness incurred in the building of this church has been fully met, following the custom of the Church of Christ, Scientist, that all [of its branch] churches must be debt-free prior to dedication.
