My expression of gratitude for Christian Science is long overdue. This Science has never failed me when it has been properly applied.

I am grateful to God for our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, and for the healing power of Christian Science. Having been an invalid for eighteen years, I left England in 1909 for my health, but I did not get any better. In 1910 Christian Science was presented to me by a neighbor. I had never heard of it before. This neighbor asked me if I would like to have help from someone who knew more about Christian Science than she did. I replied that I would; so she called a practitioner, who came and talked to me for an hour.

I asked the practitioner if she would help me; but she told me to study the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly and to work for myself for two weeks, after which she would give me help if I needed it. I did as she told me, and in six days I was healed of all my difficulties, which included stomach trouble, a heart ailment, constipation, internal trouble, and effects of an abscess near the brain. For three months after my healing, all I wanted to talk about was God.
