I am very grateful for Christian Science, and because of the numerous blessings that I have received I should like to express my gratitude through our periodicals. I am especially grateful for the many proofs that I have had of God's loving care and protection of His children.

Several years ago I became very ill with a gall-bladder trouble which was much more severe than any such attack I had suffered previously. After spending two days in bed I called a practitioner, who came to see me on his way to the Wednesday testimony meeting in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist. He talked to me about the nature of God as divine Love. After he left I rose from bed completely well, and I have never had another attack of that difficulty. We have also had many other physical healings in our family.

Recently I lost my balance at the top of a long flight of steps and fell to the bottom. While falling, I declared, "God is the only power." When I reached the bottom of the stairs the thought came to me: I have nothing to fear, for the real man is not made up of material elements, but is a spiritual idea and therefore cannot experience breakage or dislocation. I arose and completed the errand I had started out to do. Many times in the next few hours I found myself thanking God for His protecting love.
