Tiffin, Ohio (First Church).

First Church of Christ, Scientist, Tiffin, was dedicated on Sunday, June 17, 1951, at services held in the morning and afternoon. A brief history of the church was read.

A group of students of Christian Science met at the Y.M.C.A. on November 25, 1931, and steps were taken to organize a society, which was accepted by The Mother Church in December, 1932. Later a more appropriate place to hold services became essential, and the congregation moved to the Masonic Temple, which was more centrally located and more convenient.

Spiritual growth continued, and a building fund was started in January, 1944. This led to the purchase of the present building in January, 1950, which was occupied by the society in February, 1950.

This building provides space for a Reading Room and separate Sunday School rooms. In December, 1950, the society was recognized as a church and became First Church of Christ, Scientist, Tiffin.
