With a heart filled with gratitude, I should like to bear witness to a wonderful healing I experienced through the truth as taught in Christian Science. Many years ago I had a serious eye trouble. As time went on, I found the condition becoming more and more alarming, although I was obeying all the doctor's orders.

One morning I went to the physician's office, and he told me that even though he could not guarantee any positive results, he must insist that I submit to an operation. He explained that the condition was so advanced that I might lose my sight at any time. I sat in his office for about three hours, praying for guidance.

The experience of a friend of mine kept coming to my thought. This woman had seemed to dislike children very much, but after taking up the study of Christian Science, she became very fond of them and finally adopted one. At that time I was bitterly opposed to Christian Science, but as I prayed I thought, If Christian Science could do that much for her, it might help me; and I determined to try it. I immediately went to the telephone and called the friend and asked her if she would take me to the practitioner who had helped her. She was delighted to do so. Within three weeks after I had received my first Christian Science treatment I was healed; all evidence of pain and disease had left me completely.
