In Matthew (5:6) we find that Jesus said, "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled." This Bible promise was fulfilled for me through the study of Christian Science.

For more than twenty years I was deaf in one ear. Then the desire for more spiritual understanding brought the healing. One day while talking to a friend on the telephone, I realized that my hearing had been restored, and it has been normal ever since. The truth of the definition of "ears" given in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy (p. 585), was proved. It reads in part: "Ears. Not organs of the so-called corporeal senses, but spiritual understanding."

Soon after this healing, through an accident, I was burned with steam. Within an hour after a practitioner was called I was free from pain, and within a week all marks on my face and chest had gone.
