THE AVAILABILITY OF GOD'S GOODNESS

When the Psalmist sang (Ps. 84:12), "O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee," he surely must have known that God is here and now available to supply all good to those who trustingly turn to Him in prayer.

In the year 1866, after consecrated study of the Bible over a period of many years, Mary Baker Eddy in a moment of great need turned to God in prayer and was instantaneously healed of a very serious injury, and this healing led to her discovery of Christian Science. In the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," she says (pp. 12, 13): "In divine Science, where prayers are mental, all may avail themselves of God as 'a very present help in trouble.' Love is impartial and universal in its adaptation and bestowals. It is the open fount which cries, 'Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters.'"
