It is with deep gratitude and joy that I give this testimony of the enlightening and healing power of Christian Science. Several years ago, I seemed to be wandering in a wilderness of human fears and discouragement. After I had turned in various directions for physical, mental, and spiritual help, but without results, a friend invited me to go with her to a Wednesday evening testimony meeting in the Church of Christ, Scientist, of which she was a member. Through this beautiful and uplifting experience I knew that Christian Science was the answer to my need and that I had found the fount of living waters. I immediately sought out the Reading Room and bought a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and shortly afterward I bought Mrs. Eddy's other writings and subscribed to the Christian Science periodicals, including The Christian Science Monitor. Knowing that Christian Science was definitely my spiritual haven, where I had found the healing I had been seeking, I applied early for membership in a branch church and shortly afterwards for membership in The Mother Church.

I am grateful for every healing received through the study and application of Christian Science. Among these is the healing of loneliness through knowing that man is never alone, but always at one with God; and also the healing of self-consciousness, critical thinking, false ambition, despondency, and other false traits of character. I am grateful for knowing through Christian Science that in reality I can express only the qualities and attributes of God as His image and likeness.

I am also deeply grateful for healings of colds, headaches, and a physical disorder that seemed very slow in yielding. The healing finally came when I was asked by a business associate why I did not do something for the difficulty, I realized that I must take a firm and definite stand for the truth and prove that Science heals. I wish also to express heartfelt gratitude for a practitioner's help in overcoming the physical disorders.
