"Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it" (Mal. 3:10). In the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 595), our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, defines tithe in part as "contribution" and "gratitude." I have expressed gratitude many times at Wednesday testimony meetings for the blessings I have received through Christian Science and feel that it is now time to contribute to the periodicals through a testimony of healing.

It was a blessed day when the textbook came into our home. It opened the Bible for me and brought such inspiration that after several days of reading I found that I did not need to take medicine that for many years I had used daily for constipation. This was thirty years ago, and there has been no medicine used in our home since.

When our three children were very young, they were enrolled in a Christian Science Sunday School, and we began to attend the church services, which we found most inspiring. We have had many proofs of the healing power of the truth, and it has never failed in time of need.
