During the thus when electric lights were virtually unknown in rural areas and kerosene lanterns were almost useless on the windswept plains, a small-town merchant received an order of flashlights. He advertised this novel light by saying, "We are selling a light that won't go out, regardless of how the wind blows." People needed such a light. Sales were good.

Spiritually men need such a light today. Adverse winds are blowing, and will continue to blow with great velocity. The Bible is just such a light for any hour of crisis....
