Reports from Different Countries

A lad who had attended a Christian Science Sunday School regularly was greatly interested in sports. When he reached his senior year in high school, he told his mother that he would not be able to continue in Sunday School because the coach was planning to have hockey practice every Sunday morning. His mother explained to him that it was as necessary that he attend Sunday School as it was that he attend high school, and that his parents expected him to be regular in Sunday School attendance so that he might grow in spiritual understanding. The boy agreed that it was right to attend Sunday School, but he felt at the same time that he must not miss hockey practice.

His mother worked faithfully each week, knowing that counter-attractions had no power to keep the boy from being in his right place on Sunday. It came about that Sunday morning practice was called off except on two occasions. On these two Sundays the boy reported for hockey, but returned home in time to attend Sunday School, saying that practice had been canceled.

From Germany come reports of steadily increasing Sunday School attendance. Some of the pupils come from considerable distances. Boys and girls are enthusiastic about the lessons, and many of them give testimonies at Wednesday evening meetings.
