CHRISTIAN SCIENCE AND THE BUSINESSMAN
The student of Christian Science who is in business makes peremptory demands upon the truths he learns in his study. He knows that he has every right to expect results of a just kind because Christian Science is based on inviolable divine Principle, the laws of which must be applicable to every aspect of his life.
Jesus once said (Matt. 19:26), "With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible." Does this not declare the essence of the Christian religion as the master Teacher expounded it? Every admonition he gave his disciples— and us as his followers—every parable he told, every healing he accomplished, emphasized his complete reliance on the Father. He stressed that anything other than good is abnormal and therefore unreal, not of the Father. And he showed how every such false concept can be replaced with that which is normal, the perfect idea or truth of all that exists.
After Christ Jesus entered upon his public ministry, he made it very clear that limitation, poverty, and disorganization are no part of the experience of the Father, and therefore are completely foreign to man as the idea of God. On this basis he rejected all evidence attesting to the reality of such discords and replaced them with normal, healthy, Godlike conditions.
