OUR BOYS' DEFENSE
(Psalm 7:10)
God
is their refuge and their strength,
A present help in time of need,
A beacon of unfailing light
To all who His commandments heed.
Though fears like mountains seem to rise,
Before His voice they melt away;
The Lord of hosts is with them all,
The God of Jacob is their stay.
Through jungles dense, on icy peaks,
He guards and guides their faltering feet—
Protected by His losing care
From biting cold or burning heat.
Though struggling in the tossing sea,
Or mounting through the bomb-filled air,
The hearts that trust in God can know
His presence and His power are there.
"Be still, and know that I am God"!
His Word can make all tumult cease;
Even amid the battle's din,
The upright walk in paths of peace.
