"CEILING UNLIMITED"

With the continuing development of aviation, increasing interest in atmospheric conditions is evident, and weather bureaus are constantly endeavoring to keep pilots informed regarding weather and flying conditions. The radio plays an important part in making this information available, and the words "ceiling unlimited" are often heard during these reports. These words bring cheering news to those interested in aviation.

What a wonderful thought picture these words present: clear, blue, cloudless sky stretching out into space; boundless freedom to climb to satisfying heights, unhampered by mist or fog! The writer is always conscious of the similitude of this message to that given us by Christian Science, which awakens us to the knowledge that in reality we are endowed with infinite opportunities to soar to hitherto unknown heights of spiritual understanding, unhampered by the mist of materiality, the fog of false belief, and the clouds of sense testimony. However, the similarity between the airplane pilot and the student of Christian Science ends here, for the earnest student, unlike the pilot, does not have to remain grounded, passively waiting for adverse conditions to dispel themselves.

By the simple and Joyous expedient of learning what God is and what man's relation is to Him, as taught in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, we equip ourselves with all that is needed to dissolve any discordant condition, and we can thus rise upward into the realm of spiritual reality. Here Mrs. Eddy writes (p. 98), "The prophet of to-day beholds in the mental horizon the signs of these times, the reappearance of the Christianity which heals the sick and destroys error, and no other sign shall be given."
