I was healed through Christian Science...

I was healed through Christian Science of tuberculosis, which condition held me in bondage over a period of fifteen years. This healing was accomplished solely through the reading of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. My niece, aged thirteen, was also healed through Christian Science of intense nervousness and shyness, from which she had suffered all her life.

Once, while I was dining in a public restaurant, I swallowed a fishbone, which became lodged in my throat. I immediately tried to remove the bone by drinking water and by other material methods, but without success. The condition was extremely painful, and I became very fearful. The proprietress of the restaurant, who was also a student of Christian Science, on learning of my plight, telephoned a practitioner for me, and work was immediately taken up. The healing took a little over a week, during which time I was able to swallow only very small quantities of liquid foods. This experience, however, uncovered to me feelings of deep resentment which I had been holding, and this error was also routed.

I am grateful for the infinite patience and the help of those who have worked for me in my search for a greater understanding of the truth. I am also very grateful for the opportunity of service in a branch church and for class instruction.
