FREEDOM

God made all His creatures free;
Life itself is liberty.

These words, part of a hymn in the Christian Science Hymnal (No. 83), deserve to be assimilated and demonstrated, because they set forth the great truth of man's being. They recall the first mention made of man in the Bible (Gen. 1:26): "And God said. Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion." Man, made in God's likeness, endowed with dominion, has freedom, because he reflects all that God is.
