"Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared" (Ex. 23:20). The angel of the Lord has certainly gone before me in all my ways, and it is a joyous privilege to express gratitude for the blessings that Christian Science has brought into my life.

This Science was presented to my family when I was a small child, and since then we have turned to it for guidance in every need. My sister and I were protected from many childhood ailments and healed of measles, chicken pox, mumps, and influenza through Christian Science treatment. My sister and I were enabled to win scholarships that gave us higher education without school fees. Those years were not easy, but there were lessons to learn, especially of God's unfailing provision and guidance.

I have been healed of an irritating rash on the forearms; a painful and discharging ear, accompanied by a sense of deafness; seasickness. Unlike past experiences a heavy cold did not yield to my own treatment, but it gave me very little inconvenience and soon disappeared after treatment by a practitioner. Other ailments which I cannot recall specifically have also been overcome. These healings came about with the help of consecrated Christian Science practitioners or friends when my own understanding was not sufficient. For their help, which was so willingly and patiently given, I am deeply appreciative. I am grateful that through learning to rely more on God I was able to overcome a great sense of nervousness, which sometimes was almost paralyzing; I am also thankful for the lifting of self-consciousness.
