For the comfort and help that I have received these many years from reading the testimonies published in The Christian Science Journal and the Sentinel and for those given at our Wednesday evening testimony meetings and Thanksgiving Day services, I wish to express my most sincere gratitude and thankfulness.

When I was a young girl, my mother became interested in Christian Science through my grandmother's healing of a tumor, which she had had for about ten years. The physical healings experienced by our family of seven were many. The first experience was an instantaneous healing of my sister of quinsy sore throat. I remember that the practitioner stood by her bedside, and a short time later my sister asked if she could get up and go to visit the dear friend who had brought the message of Christian Science to our family. As this friend lived some distance from us, my mother at first objected, saying that my sister should wait a few days; but the practitioner assured her that there would be no period of convalescence, and my sister did arise and go, perfectly free.

After this, Christian Science was our only guide, and with the help of an ever-loving and willing practitioner we have been constantly protected. Some other healings in the family were of mumps, blood poisoning, cuts, burns, and inharmonious relationships.
