I have received so many blessings...

I have received so many blessings in Christian Science that I feel it is time to submit my testimony.

Like many others, I was led to Christian Science because of illness. For many months I had been suffering from a disease which covered my entire face, head, neck, arms, and hands. I had had treatment from dermatologists in various cities, from homeopaths, and from other types of physicians, and twice had been obliged to go to a hospital. But after each seeming improvement the disease immediately appeared again in an aggravated form, so that finally I could neither dress myself nor eat without help, nor could I do any kind of housework, because all the affected parts of the body were swollen and festering. One can imagine my desperation.

In addition, our circumstances were as unfavorable as they could possibly be. My husband had been a professional officer, and as such, despite his earnest and numerous efforts, had been unable to find any kind of occupation whatever. Then, too, we were refugees from the eastern states of Germany and were living in a small strange town in uncomfortable and close quarters, without heat or sufficient food.
