Christian Science Committees on Publication PROTECT OUR RELIGIOUS FREEDOM

[From annual reports]

Florida

A senate bill relating to compulsory isolation and hospitalization of certain tuberculosis cases was reworded after its introduction so that our amendment was included in the bill. This amendment makes it possible for a patient desiring treatment by prayer or spiritual means to be quarantined and/or isolated in his own home instead of being hospitalized. During such a period the patient shall comply with all applicable sanitary rules, laws, and regulations.

It was with much gratitude that we found it possible to amend the Workmen's Compensation Act so that an individual covered by this insurance can now collect payment for treatment by a Christian Science practitioner should he be injured while at work.
