AN INSTRUMENT OF TEN STRINGS
PRAISE
Him on the harp,
On an instrument of ten strings.
Movement of hand, motion of the mind,
Strike then the chord that says, Be kind,
Be loving, patient, generous, good.
Not wires or strings and shafts of wood,
But harp strings of divine ideas—
Courage, joy, beauty, strength, and calm.
As David played long years ago,
Touch now the chord with healing balm
To ease your brother's woe.
On your instrument use every string.
Praise and sing!
