Officers of branch churches and individuals who have occasion to correspond with The Christian Science Board of Directors, with the Clerk and the Treasurer of The Mother Church, and with heads of departments of The Mother Church Offices are requested always to place their addresses on their letters and to write their signatures plainly. Women are requested to use the title "Miss" or "Mrs." as the fact may be, and to use their Christian names. The time spent in the offices in searching out this information can be better spent in replying to the letters or in keeping necessary records. The co-operation of correspondents is solicited.

Quite frequently checks and money orders are received by the Publishing Society with nothing to indicate whether the remittance is to be applied to subscriptions, advertising, or Journal cards, to mention a few of our accounts. This means that sometimes days are spent trying to determine where the money should be applied, and in the end, perhaps, the sender must be asked for further information. If instructions always accompany remittances, orders can be handled more promptly and correctly.
