Acceptance of divine direction means better health and home

Christian Science is the greatest blessing that can come into the experience of anyone, because it teaches the truth of God and man's relationship to Him.

Circumstances caused me to leave home and enter a military school when very young. Whilst in the British Army prior to the First World War, I often thought of my school days and of the Scripture lessons which were part of the curriculum. Gradually this interest in religion left me until as a young sergeant major in France I felt the need the divine guidance in carrying out my duties.

After the war, entering civilian life after an absence of twenty years, I found myself among the exservice unemployed. This brought me to a state of humility, and it was then I heard of Christian Science for the first time. I used to attend different places of worship on Sundays and in that way entered a Church of Christ, Scientist, a very active branch church, where the stranger was made welcome.
