The Christian message is that eternity is not some vast land stretching beyond time, a region which, we shall explore only after death. Eternal life is in the present, and in Christ we have access to it here and now. Its worth does not lie in the fact that it never comes to an end, but in the significance which it can give to even the passing moment. It is vitality, energy, and power, the life undying in the midst of time. Where it is, the assurance of final victory makes us masters of circumstance even now.
