Woodward, Oklahoma (Society).
Dedication services for the new edifice of Christian Science Society, Woodward, at Tenth Street and Oklahoma Avenue, were held on Sunday, March 27, 1949.
The Woodward Society was organized on February 13, 1913, and was admitted as a branch of The Mother Church in Boston, Massachusetts, on October 2, 1913.
Meetings were held at the homes of members until May 1, 1916, when a small building located at 1010 Tenth Street was rented. Later the Southern Methodist church at Fifth Street and Texas Avenue was purchased and moved to the present location, remodeled, and used until the tornado of April 9, 1947. The present building was completed in September, 1947, and completely refurnished.—Press.
