For fifteen years I have experienced good health. There have been many testing times, especially in the early years of my study of Christian Science. At no time has any remedy been used but its teachings. For the first year and a half all healings except one mentioned below came through the study of the Bible and the writings of our Leader, Mrs. Eddy.

An early healing awakened me. Great pain had accompanied menstruation for many years. Doctors had feared to operate, but also feared what might happen when the menstrual pause came if they did not operate. Just before one Christmas I was to take a long automobile trip, and I dreaded disturbing family plans if I were unable to go. I had read only the first chapter in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy.

As the time for the trip approached, I wondered if what I had read might help me. Because of all I had heard, the word "God" had become distasteful to me. But I could think of some sort of power as good, even as Love. Therefore I tried to think constructively, to keep in harmony with this power, for it seemed to me that Christian Science must consist in constructive rather than negative thinking. When the time came, I suffered no pain whatever. This healing proved to be permanent. Never again did I feel any pain, weakness, or inability to do things at such a time. Moreover, when the so-called change came, there were none of the symptoms expected by so many people. I went on with my work without the least suffering or inconvenience. I learned that God is my Life, and true Life is unchanging.
