ALL IS WELL WHEN WE LOVE

[Of Special Interest to Children]

Käthy was a little girl living in Switzerland. Several times now she had walked from the bakery around the corner to her house and back again. Her face was full of frowns, and her eyes were full of tears. She had lost the money which Mother had given her to buy a loaf of brown bread.

Mother had told her to be very careful, for this was the last money she had until Father came home from work at noon. Now Käthy could not buy the bread, and her four brothers were waiting for breakfast because they had to go to school an hour before she did.

She stared at the bread and pastry in the window of the baker's store in despair. Then she remembered her mother had taught her that God is Love, always here and ready to help. So she started to pray, "Help me, dear God; help me!" She also repeated what she had learned in the Christian Science Sunday School: "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need" (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, p. 494). Her teacher had often said, "Everything is all right when we love enough."
