I have received joy and inspiration from the testimonies of healing appearing in our periodicals. Therefore, in deep gratitude to God, I offer mine.

When Christian Science was presented to me in 1929, I had been told by physicians both here and in New York that surgery alone could help me. I was suffering from an ulcerated stomach and bowels, and from an internal growth. Great fear and depression brought the suggestion that there was not much use in living, for my husband was very ill also, and because of medical bills we were heavily in debt.

In my desire for health and freedom from debt I visited a Christian Science practitioner, although I did not have much faith in Science. My healing was slow. I was obedient to the practitioner's requests and studied faithfully, but without much understanding.
