With the desire to lay a gift of gratitude on the altar of Truth, I acknowledge many physical healings received through the application of Christian Science. An outstanding demonstration was made several years ago with the help of a practitioner, after a doctor had pronounced my sickness an advanced stage of typhoid fever. I could not have borne my fear and that of members of my family without the constant help of the practitioner and a Christian Science nurse.

My family was much opposed to Science and insisted that it be set aside for materia medica. This move multiplied my fears a hundredfold, but I knew that having once drunk of the crystal waters of Truth, I could not put my trust in matter. After two days of doctors, nurses, and deep mental darkness, I begged to be allowed to return to Christian Science. The work was again taken up by the practitioner, and to the amazement of the doctors a complete healing was soon realized.

Several winters ago I suffered greatly during the night with acute indigestion. My husband helped me to declare the truth of being. Since I was a class-taught student, I felt the error should be routed by my own understanding. But when conditions grew worse, my husband insisted upon calling for help from a practitioner. With much difficulty I got to the telephone. At first I could not hear the practitioner's voice because of my own physical tumult. Then his clear, strong declarations of Truth came to me. He reminded me of the omnipresence of God's law of good, which could not be resisted. Immediately I was enfolded in security and peace. I looked about, wondering where that frightful dream had gone. I was instantaneously and completely healed. In one instant the irrefutable fact of man's at-one-ment with God, good, was demonstrated.
