With the desire to lay a gift of gratitude on the altar of Truth, I acknowledge many physical healings received through the application of Christian Science. An outstanding demonstration was made several years ago with the help of a practitioner, after a doctor had pronounced my sickness an advanced stage of typhoid fever. I could not have borne my fear and that of members of my family without the constant help of the practitioner and a Christian Science nurse.

My family was much opposed to Science and insisted that it be set aside for materia medica. This move multiplied my fears a hundredfold, but I knew that having once drunk of the crystal waters of Truth, I could not put my trust in matter. After two days of doctors, nurses, and deep mental darkness, I begged to be allowed to return to Christian Science. The work was again taken up by the practitioner, and to the amazement of the doctors a complete healing was soon realized.
