It has been my desire for some time to acknowledge the many benefits I have received through the teachings of Christian Science. When I saw a dear friend raised to health by Christian Science after four years of suffering while under medical treatment, I quite naturally listened to an explanation of this new teaching, and soon became interested in it.

Shortly after attending a Christian Science testimony meeting I experienced my first healings of the social drinking habit of many years' standing and of smoking. These habits just left me, and I have never been tempted to return to either of them.

About twenty years ago I was taken ill. I considered it nothing serious at first, but on the third day I was in such a condition that I could no longer lie down, and was just able to look up the name of a Christian Science practitioner in the telephone book. I received treatment, and in two days I began to improve. I was able to call on the practitioner in a week's time, and in three weeks my normal strength had returned.
