For many years I have been helped and encouraged by reading the testimonies in the Christian Science periodicals. A sense of deep gratitude for all these testimonies prompts me to tell of some of our experiences, in the hope that they may encourage others.

Twenty-seven years ago I began the study of Science through the help of an aunt. After my first healing I threw away all of my medical remedies, started the daily reading of the Lesson-Sermons from the Bible and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and attended Christian Science church services. From my first reading of Science and Health I experienced a great sense of joy and freedom which I had never known before. Since that time I have gained something each day—"here a little, and there a little" (Isa. 28:10), in a study which is interesting and inspiring, and which never grows old.

Our three sons, now grown, were born with a Christian Science practitioner in charge, and a Christian Science nurse present. A physician was in attendance at the time of delivery only. Through Science, much fear, as well as false responsibility, was overcome.
