Our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, states on page 117 of her book "Miscellaneous Writings," "Obedience is the offspring of Love." By striving to be obedient to the Manual of The Mother Church and to all the admonitions given in Mrs. Eddy's other works, I am enabled to demonstrate day by day that the truth heals, and heals quickly.

Christian Science has been my only physician for over thirty years, not only in sickness, but in every need that I have had. I have been healed of chronic sick headaches, goiter, colds, and many erroneous traits of character. I was healed of goiter just by reading Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, after my mother had tried several material remedies, which did no good, but only irritated the condition. I was placed in the Christian Science Sunday School, and since then have also enjoyed the privileges of church membership and class instruction.

The social drinking habit and many diseases such as blood poisoning, measles, whooping cough, mumps, and gallstones, have been healed in my family by the application of Christian Science. Some of these healings were accomplished through our own efforts, and others through the loving and consecrated work of practitioners.
