My husband and I recently had an experience which proved God's power and ever-presence. We have learned in Christian Science that God is All-in-all. We have also learned that God, Mind, supplies the right ideas necessary for the solution of a problem at the right time.

For three years we lived comfortably in a house owned by a man in service who, when he returned, gave us notice to move. He did, however, of his own volition extend the notice from thirty to sixty days, but definitely expected the place for himself at the end of that time. Living quarters were very limited everywhere. Upon inquiring we were told that there was not an empty house to be had in the locality. My husband is a high school teacher and it certainly seemed right for us to remain in a location convenient to his work. We did not want any unpleasantness with our landlord. If it was right for him to have his house, and it did seem so, we knew that there would be a place somewhere for us also.

During these sixty days we were constantly being questioned by the owner's father as to our progress in finding a house or an apartment. One day he informed us that court proceedings would start immediately upon expiration of the sixty days. We were having work done by a Christian Science practitioner and were referred to Science and Health (p. 184), where Mrs. Eddy tells us, "Truth, Life, and Love are the only legitimate and eternal demands on man, and they are spiritual lawgivers, enforcing obedience through divine statutes." We explained to the landlord and his father that we were having Christian Science help to assist us in finding the right place and that we fully expected to be out on time.
