Before knowing of Christian Science, I had to stop working and remain in bed for a while each year on account of some illness. I am happy to testify that as soon as I began to study Science my health began to improve, and it is now excellent.

I am thankful for the help I received in my business transactions through my understanding of God. But what made me most grateful was an experience I had in connection with justice. I was sued, although I was confident that I had done no wrong in the matter. But, as often happens, I had to wait long before the suit was settled, and injunctions were taken out against me during this time.

As I had put my faith in human justice, which seemed not to prevail, I became very indignant. Studying carefully the word "indignation," I found in the Bible passages showing that Jesus had, on occasion, been indignant. Further study revealed to me that indignation at error is best made manifest by the realization of Truth which obliterates that which has aroused indignation. The best statement of truth I knew was "the scientific statement of being," to be found on page 468 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.
