"An offering pure of Love"

Our love for God grows deeper each day as we know and understand Him better and feel His power and presence. Our prayer for the world goes out with increasing love and echoes Jesus' words (John 17:3), "That they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." We would have all men know the one true God, because we would have them know the peace of mind, the comfort of heart, the freedom from discord which this understanding brings. Jesus brought to earth the understanding of God's power over evil. He expressed the Christ, which is the true idea of God and man, and which, as it dawns vividly upon the human consciousness, dissipates mortal beliefs and delivers from sin, sickness, discordant conditions, and even death.

Our generous-hearted Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, has written these words, which inspire all Christian Scientists to seek more definitely and consecratedly for means by which to fulfill Love's purpose and plan (Poems, p. 13):

"My prayer, some daily good to do
To Thine, for Thee;
An offering pure of Love, whereto
God leadeth me."
