"How many loaves have ye?" the Master asked.
moved that the thousands, healed, stood yet around
as hungry sheep without a shepherd there.
Just five loaves and two fishes could be found.
Some laughed, perhaps; some sighed. But Jesus smiled.
In humble confidence he cast aside
their doubts. He knew Love meets all human need—
that food for them was then and there supplied.
So he commanded that the multitude
sit calmly down, give thanks, break bread and meat.
All ate! And more was left than they had had
before the multitude began to eat.
How many loaves hast thou, dear child of God?
Count not in matter! Look to Love divine—
to Principle—to Mind—and understand
that all things that thy Father has are thine!
