For many years the testimonies of healing found in The Christian Science Journal and Sentinel have been an inspiration to me. When Jesus sent forth his disciples on their healing missions he said (Matt. 10:8), "Freely ye have received, freely give." I wish to heed this admonition and share some of my experiences with those who may be searching for physical and spiritual regeneration.

From boyhood I was a regular attendant at an orthodox church and Sunday School, but the teachings did not meet my spiritual need. Until I met my wife about forty years ago. Christian Science was unknown to me except in name. Then a few people, two of whom were students of Christian Science, began to read the weekly Lesson-Sermons in the home of a member of the group. I was invited to attend these services and became very much interested. I purchased a copy of the textbook. "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. My first reading of the chapter entitled "Prayer" was such a revelation to me that I read on and on, drinking in the spiritual truths contained in this wonderful book.

Having worn glasses for a number of years without getting the relief I had looked for, I decided at this time to call a Christian Science practitioner for help. Work was taken up at once, and after one treatment the healing was complete. A few years later, through the application of the truth as taught in Christian Science, I was healed of a severe attack of neuritis. Although the healing took about three months, it was complete and lasting, as is all healing that is accomplished by the one Mind, God.
