"In all thy ways acknowledge...

"In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." we read in Proverbs (3:6). Truly divine Love did direct my path to Christian Science.

I did not investigate Science for physical healing, but for a better understanding of God and man, which I had failed to get while an active member of an orthodox church. I never seemed to find satisfaction or comfort in attending the services of this church. One day when I felt discouraged and not very well, a decorator informed me that I had no business to suffer from headaches. I immediately questioned him about his statement, and he promised to bring me some Christian Science literature to explain what he had said. I said I would study it thoroughly. To my astonishment the study brought about a complete change in my thought, and the logic of this Science appealed to me so much that I was convinced that it was the truth which "shall make you free," as Jesus said (John 8:32).

Since then Christian Science has met my every need. It has healed me and maintained me in good health for nearly twenty years. Heart trouble, which had been gradually becoming more acute, was overcome in about twenty minutes when I was very young in my study of Truth. A Scientist happened to come in at the time of the attack, and we both held to the truths contained in "the scientific statement of being" (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. p. 468), the twenty-third Psalm, and the Lord's Prayer. To the surprise of the family I was able to carry on my work for the rest of the day and with no aftereffects whatever. I have never had another attack. Headaches, boils, shingles, sore throat, influenza, and many minor ailments have been healed quickly by Science.
