Church Dedications

Note: Christian Science churches are dedicated only when free from debt.

Wenatchee, Washington (First Church).

Dedicatory services of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Wenatchee, were held on Sunday, January 6, 1946. The regular order of service was followed except for the reading of a history of the organization and growth of the local church.

The church had its beginning in informal meetings at the home of early students of Christian Science here. The first steps toward formal organization were taken in January of 1908, when a Christian Science Society was formed. Services were held first at the former Collier's studio on Wenatchee Avenue, then successively in the Columbia Bank Building and the old Elks' Hall.
