I have been a student of Christian Science for more than thirty years, and have received so much help and joy from the testimonies in our periodicals that I wish to add my own, in the hope that it may help someone. My first healing was of a nervous breakdown and melancholia. At that time a Christian Science Reading Room was a place of refuge and peace to me for several hours each day. My next healing was of attacks of acute indigestion. I had suffered from these attacks all through my teens, receiving no help from medical treatment. Our two children have been brought up in Christian Science and they attended the Sunday School until they reached the age limit.

The most outstanding healing we have had occurred while my son was in college. He hurt his foot while practicing on a rowing machine. The foot became infected, causing great pain the whole length of his leg. We sought the help of a practitioner, and in two days my son was able to put on his shoes and get downstairs to meals in the dining room. Soon he returned to classes.

At one time it became necessary for me to take charge of a business, and I did so successfully for eight years. I never could have done it without the help of Christian Science.
