Church Dedications
Note: Christian Science churches are dedicated only when free from debt.
Globe-Democrat
St. Louis, Missouri (Second Church).
Several years in advance of the time originally set as a goal, Second Church of Christ, Scientist, 5807 Murdoch Avenue, St. Louis, held dedication services in the morning and afternoon on Sunday, January 27, 1946.
The new building, erected in 1941, is of neoclassic design and brick and stone construction. Second Church's original structure was at 4234 Washington Boulvard. In 1935, that building was sold and services were held in Harmony Temple until a new edifice could be built.—Globe-Democrat.
