In the years that have followed my first published testimony, much spiritual unfoldment has come to my consciousness, and my gratitude is boundless. Christian Science has been a great help to me in business, has given me a greater sense of peace, and a better understanding of God and of man, and of man's relationship to Him.

The following instances of healing in my own experience are additional proofs of the efficacy of Christian Science. At one time a fish bone lodged in my throat, but its removal came instantaneously with the declaration and realization that there is no substance in matter.

While I was on the golf course during my vacation one summer, a golf ball, coming with terrific speed, struck the knuckles of my right hand. I rejected this sudden onslaught of error, and, turning to the harmony of spiritual existence, dwelt upon perfection—perfect God perfect man, perfect universe. I mentally declared that man is the image and likeness of God, and that God is ever present; that Mind controls the body, and that God, good, alone governs. This incident occurred at the fourth hole, and to the amazement of the other players in the group, I continued to play.
