Love Is at the Helm
Our
God is at the helm of thought.
I need not fear the power of aught
That mortal mind can do or say,
For Love is at the helm, today.
My upward path is charted well
Since Christian Science came to tell
Me of the truth, and how to pray,
And Love is at the helm, today.
I fear no reef of hate or woe;
There is no subtle undertow
To draw me from the narrow way,
For Love is at the helm, today.
Great peace is mine the voyage through;
No care, no sorrow, loss, or rue
Can my unlabored progress stay,
For Love is at the helm, today.
And when, at length, the port I find,
To anchor in omniscient Mind,
I'll sing the glad, triumphant lay
That Love is at the helm alway.
