Clayton Bion Craig, C.S.B., is a native of South Dakota, where he was educated in the public schools of Watertown and at the University of South Dakota, from which he holds the degree of B.A. After completing a year of graduate study in the field of economics at Harvard University, Mr. Craig attended Oxford University at Oxford, England, as a Rhodes Scholar from South Dakota. He holds the degrees of B.A. and M.A. from Oxford University.

Mr. Craig became interested in Christian Science in 1925, at which time he experienced its healing benefits. In 1927 he became a member of the Oxford University Christian Science Organization. In 1929 he was admitted to membership in The Mother Church; and in 1930 he became a member of Seventh Church of Christ, Scientist, New York City. Also in 1930 he received Primary class instruction in Christian Science from an authorized teacher.

In 1932 Mr. Craig became a resident of Cincinnati, Ohio, where he was affiliated with a manufacturing concern until he entered the public practice of Christian Science.
