"Be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."

There are two things, said Stevenson, which we can never have too much of in this rough world—kindness and humility. This is a rougher world than Stevenson knew. The wounds of war cut very deep.... We easily tend to lose patience and fall out of heart. Kindness to one another is a great healer.
